T-Shirt launcher contest!
LeTourneau University's Department of Athletics and Sports Marketing Association announced the sponsorship of a student T-shirt Launcher Competition, which will be held at the basketball home finale February 18.
Teams of up to four students will be able to compete to design a T-shirt launcher, and will submit designs to the athletic department to be judged by the engineering department, based on design, creativity, efficiency and feasibility.
The best three designs will then be given the green light to build their T-shirt launchers, and be judged by the a panel, Feb. 18 at Solheim Arena, when the YellowJackets basketball teams hosts Texas-Dallas.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three designs. The first place team will receive $75, second place will receive $50 and third place will receive $25.
Design entries have been extended through Feb. 8, and must be turned into LETU Athletic Director Terri Deike.
